Nathan Matias is a Ph.D. student at the MIT Media Lab. He has been designing a browser plug-in to monitor the diversity in sources for publishers so that they can be aware of the diversity in their work and make changes if they need to.

According to the New York Film Academy infographic Gender Inequality in Film, there is a 5.4% increase in women characters in movies while a woman is directing. There are 7 times the male script writers compared to women, but there is a 10.7% increase in equality when a female screenwriter works with a female director.

Sociologist Michael Kimmel explained the long term benefits when males share housework with their wives, "...their wives are healthier. Their wives are less likely to see a therapist, less likely to be diagnosed with depression, less likely to be put on medication, more likely to go to the gym, report higher levels of marital satisfaction."
He further explained the benefits for the men when they share housework, "When men share housework and childcare, the men are healthier. They smoke less, drink less, take recreational drugs less often. They are less likely to go to the ER but more like to go to a doctor for routine screenings. They are less likely to see a therapist, less likely to be diagnosed with depression, less likely to be taking prescription medication." Kimmel pointed out similar benefits for children.
